Frequently Asked Questions
How soon will I see results?
After one session, you’ll feel more relaxed and limber. Single sessions are great for targeted pain relief relaxation.
However, just like all good habits, flexibility takes time to train. If you’re looking to increase your range of motion, expect to see results after 6-12 weeks of regular weekly sessions. This is how long it takes to see structural changes in muscle length and pliability. Regular sessions are encouraged for retraining habits (like daily desk-sitting), chronic tightness and discomfort, and sports performance goals.
I’m not flexible. At all. Can you help?
Awesome. That’s why you’re here. You don’t have to be flexible to stretch. I love hearing “I’m not flexible” because to me it signals that we have a lot of space to work and grow!
What should I wear?
Wear clothes you can easily move in. If you are coming straight from a workout, please be prepared to change into fresh clothes. Clean socks are required as I’ll be handling your feet.
What should I do after my stretch?
Drink a lot of water! Just like deep tissue massage, we’re releasing lactic acid and other compounds that have been tied up in muscular and connective tissue back into your system. I find the term “toxins” pretty harsh, they’re naturally occurring and won’t hurt you, but they can make you sore and the only way to get rid of ‘em is to flush ‘em out.
Should I see you before or after my chiropractor?
If chiropractic adjustments are difficult for you because your muscles are so tight, stopping by beforehand could help you get the most out of both stretching and your adjustment!
Should I see you before or after my workout?
I always prefer to see people after their workouts or on rest days. Active stretching can decrease performance immediately before a workout, but more importantly post stretch you’ll be able to move with a greater range of motion than you’re typically used to. Overdoing it immediately may open you up to injury.
Testimonials
“I've always had neck problems. Before going to StretchTech, anything physically demanding would send me to the chiropractor. Since Jamie-Lynn started working the muscles around my neck, my chiropractor says my neck adjusts easier and the adjustments last 2-3x longer. Thanks to StretchTech, I can run, hike, climb, bike, and lift without having to worry when my chiropractor's next opening is. I wish I had discovered them years ago!”

“Prior to visiting StretchTech I had constant tightness in my lower back, but working with Jamie-Lynn she has made life manageable and I feel like I can move so much better when I walk away from a session. Doing the Manitou Incline seems like a possibility after working with her!”

“Jamie-Lynn is a pro--she's anticipatory, knowledgeable, intelligent, and has a great sense of humor. What I like most is that she has a unique ability to find places where I would have never guessed are the source of my tension in my body, isolate those muscles, and stretch the heck out of them. I always walk out of her studio in a much happier, more limber place--my golf game also improved!”
